A wazwan, an elaborate multi-course meal of traditional delicacies some of which are cooked on slow fire through the night, is perhaps the most delectable way of enjoying Kashmiri heritage and hospitality. Prepared with care and pride, and served with grace, a wazwan elevates a meal to a ceremony. It can be served with prior arrangement at the Deck, outside the room lawns with traditional setup (on charge). Or you can enjoy the cuisine at the Infinity restaurant on a-la-cart.

Guests can savour picturesque views of the Dal Lake and the lovely Char Chinar island, over a cup of kehwa, traditional Kashmiri tea at the Tea Lounge. The soothing views of the changing colours of sky and water at sunset are a balm for the senses. Kehwa, a light green tea flavoured with spices, saffron and almond slivers, is served with delightful local savouries including a variety of traditional flatbreads and dry fruits making for a delightful Kashmiri high tea experience.

No trip to Srinagar is complete without a boat ride on Dal Lake- home to more than a thousand shikaras or charmingly furnished wooded houseboats. A daytime, sunset or moonlight ride, taking in the cool air scented with the fragrance of flowers, the sight of blooming lotus flowers akin sparkling diamonds, passing floating gardens of vegetables and pausing at idyllic gardens, is simply magical.
