Built in 1605, this UNESCO World Heritage Site holds the relics of St Francis Xavier and is considered one of the seven wonders of Portuguese origin. Located in Old Goa, this16th-century relic stands as a testament to Goa's rich history. The four-storey tower is all that remains of the once-magnificent St. Augustine's Church. Built by the Augustinian friars in 1602, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Its intricate stonework, ornate arches and presence evoke a sense of awe and wonder.

Located at Mangeshi village in Priol, Ponda, this 400-year-old shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a stunning example of Goan architecture, blending Hindu and Portuguese influences. Adorned with intricate carvings, beautiful murals and a Nandi bull, it is one of the largest and one of the best temples in Goa for those seeking spiritual solace.

Located on the banks of the Mandovi, Reis Magos Fort was constructed in 1551 by the Portuguese to serve as a turret. Once a mighty defense bastion, it was later converted into a jail. Among many nuggets of history, you’ll discover a room with floor holes through which soldiers allegedly poured hot oil on attackers.
